Our Manufacturing Partner
BambooLite products are mainly made from bamboo fabric. Well-selected non-polluted bamboo is grown in China, turned into bamboo yarn and bamboo fabric in China, cut and sewn into our products in China. We believe this complete start-to-finish manufacturing process being run in its country of origin is much more efficient.
We have spent a vast amount of time and resources looking for a manufacturing partner with excellent track record of high quality materials and workmanship. We pay attention to ethical manufacturing too. In early 2010, we have established a close working relationship with our manufacturing partner in China that meets our requirements on both quality and ethics. Our partner’s facility in China is one of the most advanced in manufacturing bamboo fabric garments. Quality is embedded into every associate from top management down to seamstresses. They have a very well-balanced working environment and very reasonable working hours. Their seamstresses are paid respectable salary and due benefits. Our manufacturing partner is leading the way is ethical manufacturing and fair trade system.
Our Caring GrandMas
BambooLite Organic Essentials and Raw Silk Liner are products made locally in Malaysia by our caring GrandMas under Project SAGM. This is BambooLite local community project. Our GrandMas join our project on a voluntary basis. No contracts or binding agreements. We allow much flexibility on their activities because we want our products to be made with passion, not sweat. They work on their own time. Please do allow some waiting time if sometimes you find our products made by them are out of stock. Our GrandMas receive respectable wages for their efforts. This is a non-profit project. To learn more about this project, click [Project SAGM]
