Raw Silk Liner is a 2-layer liner made from 100% natural fibre. It contains naturally occurring sericin (a creamy wax given off by the silkworms). The natural anti-bacterial property of sericin aids in preventing and healing nappy rash. No need for creams or lotions that may leave residue on your diaper leading to reduced absorbency. Raw Silk Liner is also suitable for women who suffer from yeast infections and other skin irritation. Some women use it after giving birth to speed up wound healing.

DESCRIPTION
Raw Silk Liner is a natural wicking material keeping your baby's skin drier and healthier although it does not have the same "stay-dry" feel as fleece. Raw Silk Liner transports the liquid in the direction from top layer to bottom layer only. This makes the liner only wet on the area it gets wet on. The remaining area will still be dry. It is thin and easy to use. Just lay the liner on top of your diaper. It also makes cleaning up baby's mess easier.

Unlike other single layered liners, our Raw Silk Liner is double layered with rounded corners. This makes the Raw Silk Liner sturdy, keeping it in its place and will not be wadded in the diaper. It makes the baby more comfortable while maximizing the protection area on baby's skin. We find this feature worthwhile. Our Raw Silk Liner measures approximately 32cm(Length)x14cm(Width).
Raw Silk Liner is a natural alternative to synthetic liner and disposable liner. It can be reuse many times while retaining its natural anti-bacterial property. To preserve the silk liner, it is recommended to wash by hand with mild detergent. Scrub gently on the liner. Do not wring the liner to remove the water. It is best to hang the liner to drip dry. If you would like to machine wash, put it on delicate and short spin cycle. Again, it is best to hang the liner to drip dry than spin dry. To preserve the natural sericin, raw silk fabric has not been degummed.(Degumming is the process of removing the sericin from silk) This makes the raw silk fabric texture somewhat rough and nubby but your baby will still feel comfortable on it.
** Raw Silk Liners are sewn by our caring grandmothers under Project SAGM. They are not professional nor very experienced seamstresses. Variations in size and sewing are expected.
